About

The Pandemic Shelter Simulator (PaSS) was created by JT Mudge and Sarah Robinson. Sarah and JT work at productOps on the Data Science and Innovation teams.

Welcome to PaSS - The Pandemic Shelter Simulator

We developed PaSS as in interactive tool for running shelter-in-place simulations for the Pandemic Response Hackathon.

Use the Simulation Settings panel to change the variables, rates, and factors of the simulated world. The population can only be set before starting the simulation.

The Infection Info panel shows the current status of the simulation. Click a person and you can see detailed stats about that person in real-time.

The Charts panel shows graphical data about the simulation.

Each simulation's population is randomly generated each time. The "shelters" are on top and the out of home "zones" are on the bottom. Each simulation has a hospital on the bottom left.

This is very much a work in progress. Feel free to reach out and offer suggestions.
